Covering Recession WITHOUT Harvesting Tissue From the Roof of Your Mouth...

  • These before and after photos show one of our patients before and after gingival grafting on their canine tooth. Instead of having two surgery sites (the donor site on the palate and the recession site on the tooth) our patients only have surgery on the site that needs it … the area of recession. Most post operative complications (bleeding, paralysis, difficulty eating) are related to the palate surgery. Thus when a patient is able to have gingival grafting performed without utilizing the palate as a donor site they will have less complications. Ask your dentist or one of the members of our team if you may be a good candidate for this type of root coverage procedure.
